The Slopeside Cabin is the perfect home for your ski or summer mountain vacation! Our lift-adjacent home is located across the street from the Great Western Lift at Brighton Ski Resort. The cabin has a great balance of being very accessible, yet private with mature trees and generous outdoor space. You can ski, hike, and enjoy the majestic scenery right from the front door.
Slopeside has all of the key items on your "must-have" list for a perfect ski vacation! The choice location allows you to quickly run home for lunch or a break and return to the slopes in no time. The close proximity to the ski lifts also affords guests a great view of skiing while relaxing in the living room or on the deck. With 3 bedrooms (6 separate beds- including 1 sofa sleeper) and 2 full bathrooms, Slopeside is an excellent choice for groups of singles as well as 1 or 2 families with kids.
The open and well-equipped kitchen is a wonderful layout for cooking with larger groups. The "chef" can flip pancakes and serve across the bar while taking in the views from the window-lined living room. Both the pool table and ping pong table get equal enjoyment in the course of a weeks' stay and provide hours of entertainment. To top it off, the living room's gas fireplace creates a focal point for those socializing into the late hours of the night.

We had the best time in this lovely well-maintained cabin with amazing views and walking distance from all places you need. Brighton is a cute but vey small village up Cotton wood canyon for all seasons recreation with limited parking and no dining out options but not to worry. This cabin is so well equipped and neat, that we actually enjoyed staying in and having every meal with the most amazing views from large panoramic windows. We had the best apre-ski time with quite a selection of books, table games and movies. Our hosts, Kate and Bill, where the most caring ones and we would like to thank them especially for all their tips on local groceries where we were able to get best ingredients. For winter time, I would also like to highlight their huge heated clothes and boot rack that was extremely handy with our ski apparel and daily plow service on the property. When in Brighton again, we know exactly where we are staying.

Kate (the host) was hospitable, communicated well through the whole process, was helpful in my family/friends having a great and memorable week at the Slopeside house. The house is clean, comfortable, has lots of natural light, is well-stocked with household and kitchen supplies (spices, sugar, coffee maker, crockpot, waffle maker, electric griddle, board games, ping pong/pool table, sound system, Weber grill with a 2nd propane tank...) the refrigerator and freezer are large. The downstairs family/game room has lots of space for family/friends to gather. The location is perfect for walking access to the hiking trails and Silver Lake.

First and foremost the review needs to start as soon as our booking was completed. Within a week or two we were contacted by Kate (owner) who begin to provide the best insight. We shared a phone call where she proved knowledgeable in everything. Not only was the verbal advice superb, but she followed up with information via email with easy to use links or type of advice. Kate had influence in ski lift ticket purchases and timing, grocery and liquor stores/delivery, car rentals, road laws, ski other mountains, weather, terrain, etc..
Once we arrived for our stay it was beyond perfect as well. The house upon arrival was very clean and has everything you'd need. It snowed feet prior to arrival and everything was cleared and shoveled for us to unload easily. The views are breath taking and over look the mountain and morning sunrise with at most a 100 yard walk directly to the ski lift. This paid off extremely well as we noticed people who came from Salt Lake City would walk miles up the road as parking fills up quickly. If you are debating staying here or in SLC stay here without a doubt.
Throughout the stay if anything was needed Kate would be quick to respond in helping us find things around the house or nearby. Kate gets a 5 Star, The house gets a 5 Star and the mountain gets a 5 Star. My only con was we needed one more spatula haha -- Kate was quick to remedy this as well!

We had a wonderful stay at Slopeside. We chose the property for its location, which didn't disappoint. It's an easy walk across the street to Brighton. And the property itself was cozy and comfortable for our group of six. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace and the pool/ping pong table. The space was very clean, the kitchen and bathrooms were generously stocked, and the host was amazingly kind and available to help as questions came up. We would love to stay again and would highly recommend the property to any similarly sized group.

Awesome stay with our two godsons and their families at the Slopeside cabin. We wanted to stay in Brighton to be centrally located to both sides of the Wasatch front for outdoor adventure outings. Much cooler temps and atmosphere than down in the valley too.
Appreciated the response and communication with Kate. Cabin is stocked with everything you need! I especially appreciated the Costco toiletries and products throughout. High-end kitchen utensils, pots and pans made putting meals together enjoyable and stress free for our large group. Cabin was beautifully furnished and had all the little touches you could ever want.
For your wildlife lovers, Silver Lake recreation area is a great place for the family to check out the moose, deer, beaver and gorgeous lake/mountain views. Early morning risers at the cabin will get the treat of watching deer and moose come through the cabin’s property to graze and drink from the creek. We watched them come out of the trees above the cabin and make their way down. Just an absolute spectacular place to experience Utah and family memories. Thanks Kate for the awesome service and stay. We will be back!

We loved the Slopeside cabin. Wonderful summer vacation for the family. The communication with the cabin owner or manager was excellent. Kitchen was well stocked. Beautiful property. Comfortable bed. Great location with much to do nearby. Just wish Big Cottonwood Canyon wasn't so crowded these days. So many people on the trails and near the lakes.

This place is amazing! Truly just a walk across the street to the lift, super convenient. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and spices. It made for some really great home cooked meals. The ping pong table was a nice bonus that provided hours of night time fun! Kate and the entire Cottonwood Lodging crew were a pleasure to deal with and they really put honest effort into ensuring that our stay was perfect, mission accomplished!

We LOVED Slopeside. Our views were exquisite and we could walk to several lifts in minutes, including green ones for me, the beginner. There is a huge fridge and a separate freezer which was great for a large group. We also loved the bench to sit on while taking off ski boots after skiing off the slope. We could leave our wet gear by the door with plenty of hanging space for our group's gear. The cabin has two living rooms and a ping-pong/pool table. The table and barstools in the kitchen could seat a lot of people and we loved that too.
Marissa and Susie were so great! They really helped me determine what the best vacation rental would be for us. They connected me to Kate, the owner who was wonderful too.

Slopeside is by far the best ski cabin we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in many. The location is right next to the mountain with plenty of space around the house so you are not right up against another property. The cabin is fully equipped including a boot dryer for multiple pairs! Adults teens and kids all had a wonderful time and all found fun things to do, be it sledding or playing games or shooting pool when we were not busy skiing or cooking in the excellently equipped kitchen. The cabin is fully of light and warmth and wonderful touches to make your stay memorable and comfortable, Cannot wait to return!
The Cottonwood team are fantastic. Very responsive to messages and any doubts we may have had. Traveling during a pandemic can be a nerve wracking experience, but they put our minds at ease and we felt secure in making our reservation with them. I would hands down go directly through them than Airbnb. A huge shout out to whoever designed the manual for the cabin and area! I have never seen anything so professional or well put together.

This was yet another excellent ski trip adventure for our group. Instead of staying in the Park City area as we've done a few times prior we decided to different flavor of Utah skiing by exploring the Cottonwood canyons resorts.
The Slopeside Cabin was an absolutely perfect spot for that and Kate was the most excellent host we've had in 10+ years of travels via VRBO.
The place was clean and had everything we needed for a great time. The views are amazing and best of all the cabin is the closest property to the lift. After half day of skiing we made it back for lunch and then walked back to the lift to finish up the day.
Aside from Brighton we skied Solitude (10 min away) and Snowbird (30+ min away depending on traffic). All were excellent.

We’ve done a lot of vacation rentals over the years and were quite impressed with how thoughtfully equipped Slopeside was! Little things like the soaps in the kitchen / bathroom perfectly laid out, everything was immaculately clean and well-maintained, the clearly organized binder / PDF with info on the cabin and surroundings, all excellent! The location right across the road from the lift was incredibly convenient. Would definitely stay here again on future trips to Brighton.

I could not be more pleased with our time at Slopeside. It was clear to us that the owners understood what is needed to live in another persons home. Everything is where you would expect it... and I mean everything. Crockpot, storage containers, coffee filters, grill, propane replacements, washer / dryer, and more. Then there is the outside. The yard and lands around here cannot be overstated. Moose roam through the property and play in the sunny stream. When kids wake up and see this they are simply thrilled. Then there is the top notch hiking trails (or skiing / boarding in the winter) a short walk away.
Lastly, the owners are super responsive. If you have questions, need advice on the area, they are a call away.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Slopeside cabin. We all came here to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversaries and could not have asked for a better vacation! The access to incredible hikes within walking distance or a 10 minute drive was so convenient. We also enjoyed playing games in the backyard during the day and board games and pool at night.
We all cannot wait to come back and are hoping to return in the Fall to see the aspens. Thank you for being such great hosts and giving us the opportunity to explore the area.

Came to Brighton for a few days of skiing after a trade show in Salt Lake. We got lucky and caught an overnight snow storm and had two great days of powder! Brighton has always been one of our favorites and it was great to get reacquainted with its fantastic glades. Awesome terrain and this cabin gave us an awesome location!

We had 7 adults staying at the cabin. The younger adults were downstairs enjoying the pool table and tv, while the older adults were cooking, enjoying the beautiful view and relaxing. The location was phenomenal! Skiing in and out was truly the best part of the stay. We could ski for awhile, come home and have a nice lunch, and go back out to ski again. We all had a wonderful time and agreed this was our best Brighton rental ever! We’ll be back!!

We love the Slopeside Cabin! It is extremely clean and well appointed. Kate was amazing to work with! The nearly 180 degree windows that face the Brighton Resort are to die for. The best part about the cabin is that it is a few steps away from the ski lifts. I cannot say enough good things about this spot at Brighton!

What a gem of a cabin! We all want to come back to spend more time at the "Novak chalet". Phones were put down. Games were played. We talked. We listened and we laughed. Creekside Cabin is perfect location and size for our family of 6. Cabin is beautiful, cozy, and very clean. The beds are comfortable. We ski in-out of Great Western lift and had easy access to all ski lifts. Cabin is very comfortable. We enjoyed the outside deck for grilling burgers at lunchtime while taking in the spectacular scenery. Kate was easy to contact and responsive to any questions.

We had a great family vacation and loved this home and proximity to the Great Western Lift. Staff was very attentive when we had questions. The only small negative is that the downstairs basement was about 10 degrees colder than the main floor, but it wouldn't keep us from booking this property next time. Otherwise, the kitchen was well stocked and everything worked well. We ate at the Silver Stag (shuttle ride provided) the last night and highly recommend it. We didn't rent a vehicle which wasn't a problem - Uber'd up and took a shuttle back down as we had an early flight home.

Great location and a nice yard for the kids to have snowball fights. If you walk to the end of the driveway and cross the street you are at the bottom of the Great Western ski lift.
The deck looks out towards Brighton Ski Area which made for a nice apres-ski spot.
Kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary utensils/pots/pans. Plenty of extra towels, blankets, etc. Very cozy house and all the windows afforded beautiful views of surrounding area. I would stay there again.

We had a very relaxing stay at your Creekside house. grounds were clean and manicured. House was clean and full of every supply imaginable. Downstairs toilet leaks. Stereo was difficult to figure out, maybe some written instructions.
