Important note: 4wd/awd and snow tires or chains are legally required in the canyon during winter months (November - April) to make it safely to the home.

Named after the many beautiful stellar jays that visit, Stellar Haven is a private mountain home at Brighton Resort just a 1-2 minute walk away from the closest lift (Milly Express). With 3 bedrooms, a loft with 2 Queen futons, and 2 full bathrooms, you can easily be first on the slopes with your family and friends! 

This open home receives plenty of natural light due to the large, 2-story windows in the living room, where you can enjoy the custom-built gas fireplace while relaxing in front of the smart TV. The nearby kitchen is stocked with many tools for cooking and dining, a gas range, a full-sized fridge/freezer, and a breakfast bar. Upstairs, the spacious loft houses a sectional couch and another smart TV. 2 Queen futons are located on the opposite side of the loft. We have a huge jacuzzi tub (with shower option) in the upstairs bathroom, and a hot tub outside on the wraparound deck. You'll be able to relax and enjoy the wildlife any time of year from the large deck!

- King Bedroom - Spacious King bed with cozy linens and comforters.

- Full Bathroom - Standing shower with double showerheads.

- Kitchen - Stocked with appliances and cookware to make your meal prep a breeze! 4 seats at the breakfast bar make it easy to keep the chef in your party company.

- Dining Area - Dining table seats 8

- Living Room - Open living room with high ceilings. Roku-enabled TV and gas fireplace, access to back and side decks (hot tub access on back deck).

UPPER LEVEL:
- Loft - Open loft with 2 queen futons toward the back, and a lounge area with couch and Roku streaming TV toward the stairs.

- Queen Bedroom - Queen bed with cozy bedding in mid-sized bedroom.

- King Bedroom - Large bedroom with high ceilings, King-sized bed, comfy linens!

- Full Bathroom - Double sinks and a large custom jetted combo tub/shower, high ceilings!

Important Notes: No parties or events are permitted at any time. Security cameras are located on the front and back of the home pointing toward the driveway/road for safety purposes and may be used to ensure our rental policies are being followed.

Stellar Haven is a fantastic mountain home. We absolutely loved the bright and open space, location and clean/neat manner in which it is maintained. Location can’t be beat right near Milli’s Lift. Big windows with great upmountain view, comfortable furniture, gas fireplace, and large benches in entrance for taking off skis were all appreciated.. Interior is very 80’s but we found it very charming and comfortable. Love it!

Our family of 5 had a lovely time at this property. Plenty of room for everyone and amazing views from the floor to ceiling windows. We love to cook and the kitchen was well stocked. Would for sure rent again.

My boyfriend and I took our first blended family trip to Utah to ski before Christmas. Stellar Haven was a great fit for the six of us. The location was absolutely perfect with walking distance to the slopes and ski-in at the end of the day to the back door. The kitchen is well stocked, the bathrooms and beds are comfortable, and the hot tub has a really nice bonus!

Our family was back again this summer (2022), for another spectacular stay. We saw deer, moose, beaver, ducks, and many more critters. We hiked, walked, soaked in the jacuzzi, and enjoyed the view from the amazing great room. We enjoy this home so much, we'll be back regularly for as long as the owners keep offering it. Thank you, Stellar Haven, for being a place where we make such wonderful family memories!

On our second stay at Stellar Haven (see our first review "A Perfect Summer Stay") we enjoyed a magnificent Thanksgiving as a family. The well-appointed kitchen allowed us to prepare an Italian feast — calzoni, braciole, ravioli, toss salad, macedonia (fruit salad), panettone, and more. We tramped happily through the powdery snow on the ground because we don't get that stuff in SoCal, and we were amazed to see Silver Lake frozen over. The family spent time together in the great room (fantastic view of the mountains), and all slept well in their comfortable beds. We will be back!

The location is great and the cabin is lovely. My family has a long history in Big Cottonwood Canyon with very rustic old and much loved cabins. But it was really fun to have a contemporary kitchen and big comfy beds. Loved the secluded back deck with the view of Mount Milicent. Suzie is fantastic. Very helpful and very understanding. We'll be back.

My friends and I LOVED our stay. I would use these rentals time and time again and absolutely recommend. It was a lovely, easy, experience.The staff correspondence and my conversations with Suzie were amazing; extremely communicative, kind, helpful, prompt...I can't say enough. We had no issues at all but they answered any/all questions I had happily.

The great room windows look out on a scenic view of pines and mountain peaks. The picturesque panorama took our breath away every morning, and we spent enjoyable hours lounging and just taking in the natural beauty before us. We took hikes to the lakes, spotted deer and chipmunks, took a hundred photos, and cooked our own dinner in the well-provisioned kitchen. This property made for a perfect summer vacation.

Can’t say enough about this house, it was perfect for our two families So close to the base, we had plenty of room in the fridge-and they had all the things we needed to make big dinners! Really enjoyed this house and would totally come back to Stella Haven!!! Cottonwood lodging has just been fabulous to work with and we would only use them vs VRBO or Airbnb. They are super responsive. Plan on coming back March 2022 and possible over the holiday season again

Great location! Walked from the cabin right to Brighton, avoided the whole parking mess. Clean and well stocked. Hot tub was great after a long day on the slopes. Large windows were so fun to watch the birds and squirrels in the morning. Staff was super easy to work with, responded quickly.
