Uinta Lodge - Secluded location at Brighton Ski Resort with Hot Tub
Important note: 4wd/awd and snow tires or chains are legally required in the canyon during winter months (November - April) to make it safely to the home.
Completely remodeled with new mattresses, this charming 4-bedroom cabin, called Uinta, is nestled against the National Forest and is an easy 400 yard walk from Brighton Ski Resort with ski access to the Great Western lift just up the road from the home (about a 3-5 minute walk). Make sure to wake up early to catch the stunning views of the sun rising against Mount the scenery from this Brighton lodging while soaking in the private hot tub is always breathtaking! Amenities include WiFi, Roku TV, gas and wood fireplaces, hot tub, washer/dryer, and gas grill on the large deck.

If you enjoy sleeping in, being lazy, reading a book by the window, or zone out in the hot tub, this is the place; it took a bit of energy to peel myself away to go snowboarding.
The location was great, and very close to Brighton, but if you know the location of the backwoods shortcut, then it is a true ski-in-ski-out spot. Otherwise, the distance to the lifts is comparable to having to walk to the far end of the parking lot in most resorts.
Timing couldn't be better, with snow storms rolling in during our stay, but the staff came by regularly to shovel paths to the hot tub and grill, plus maintenance coming by to check on the place. Communication with the staff via text was excellent and prompt.
I will be considering this place again the next time I'm in the Cottonwood area.

We had an exceptional time at the Uinta Lodge. The location is great for anyone wanting to enjoy Brighton or Solitude. We had a group of 8 and had plenty of room for everyone.

After my father's funeral in Salt Lake, several family members gathered at Brighton Ski Resort to spend some quiet family mountain time together at this wonderful cabin. So comfortable, so secluded, we loved the hot tub and gathering around the fireplace. Everything we needed was there. Close to the lake for gentle walking. We would do this again and again.

cabin was large and very nice, clean, good location. only issue was the listing said it had A/C but in reality it didn't. wasn't that warm so not a big deal.

It was a great vacation, the cabin made it. Perfect for a family vacation.
I would recommend having all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, with fresh snow it is tricky getting in to the cabin, we had to exchange our Rental car. We loved being in the woods so no problem. Great Place!!

House was clean, warm & ready upon arrival. House was fully equipped from slow cookers to soap & shampoo. Plenty of firewood for the HUGE fireplace, and beautiful views from the outdoor hot tub. Carol made sure we had everything we needed and was always available. We will be renting this house again!!

We were very impressed by the Uinta cabin! It easily accommodated our large family of 10! The cupboards were well stocked and the kitchen was well laid out to cook and still be part of the family! We spent a lot of time on the deck in the hot tub and cozied around the huge fireplace playing games! The management staff were wonderful and were there to help or bring anything we needed, fortunately for us, we didn’t need anything! The driveway was shoveled and blown daily, making it easily accessible for vehicles! We were beyond impressed and will definitely be back again!

We had an incredible stay at Uinta over the holidays. My husband and I are SLC locals who ski Brighton, but we brought in our family from out of town and could not have been happier to spend a week in the Brighton Woods! Carole and Sean (maintenance) went out of their way to make us comfortable while we were there, especially impressive considering we stayed over Christmas. Huge props to Sean for arriving every morning to shovel the deck/manage the upkeep around the house in the snow and cold-what a gem! I did leave only 3 stars for 'general condition' as the refrigerator was broken during our stay. Sean provided coolers, but at this price, and with this level of luxury, we expected to have such a major appliance in working order. Carole was very apologetic, and as helpful as she could possibly be, but that needs to be fixed. Otherwise-if you are considering this property-just go for it! You won't be disappointed by the location, the gorgeous interior, the amenities, or the exceptional management. My entire family hasn't stopped talking about how perfect our stay was-we're already hoping to come back in 2019!

This is a great cabin. The location is secluded and beautiful! The staff are very accommodating and helpful. It is roomy and comfortable. Only suggestion, some attention needs to be paid to some wear and tear and making sure those items are fixed or replaced.

We had a fabulous time. The Cabin was very clean, well furnished and well appointed. No shoes are allowed on the carpet. I wish we would have known we could have brought house slippers. However I love the clean carpet and respect the house rules. The home is gorgouse and very very well maintained
